Butterflies have been declining at a dramatic pace in the last decades. A recent publication demonstrates that clothianidin, at a field-relevant dose (1 ppb), hampers proper butterfly reproduction. Honey bees, bumble bees, earthworms, now butterflies: all compartments of our ecosystems are destroyed by neonicotinoids!
